Where are you located? Do you accept insurance? What are
your credentials? What population do you work with, and
which disorders do you primarily focus on?

I am a Mind Body Coach In Pleasanton, California. I combine my background as a Licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Yoga and Meditation teacher, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Certified Nutrition Consultant to provide stress solutions for the mind and body. I provide tele-wellness sessions for individuals and groups, companies, and organizations. I don’t accept insurance.

What is the main focus of your practice?

My main focus is on enhancing the mind-body connection of my clients. I utilize a variety of strategies from my varied background, customized
to each person.

What is a mental health “golden nugget” you can give over?

There are 2 important nuggets that I share with my clients:
1) Small changes applied consistently can make a huge impact when it comes to mental and physical wellness.

2) We are an integrated being so every part is connected and affects each other. In other words, you can’t separate the parts when it comes to the well-being of the whole person.

What type of coffee do you enjoy best and how do you like
your coffee?

I love Pete’s coffee with half and half, and prefer a latte!

Do you work alone or are you a part of a group practice? Tell
us about your practice/work!

Before the pandemic, I was working at The Spine and Pain Center of California. A large part of my practice was working with people with chronic
pain and chronic conditions, integrating physical therapy, meditation, hypnosis, and nutrition. Since the pandemic, I have been working mostly virtually, specifically in the areas of stress management. I work individually as well as with companies and organizations. There are so many tools to enhance
relaxation and overall physical and mental health that are so important to share, especially at this moment of history with all that we have been through.

When/How did you first become interested in your career in health
and wellness?

When I was in middle school, my brother became sick and what ultimately ended up helping him was Ayurveda. I was impressed with how Ayurveda integrates the whole person, and that they took into account so many factors in wellness. This is when I initially became interested in health and wellness.

What aspects of clinical work do you enjoy most and why?

I love connecting with people and empowering them with tools to take charge of their mental and physical wellness. It brings me great pleasure to educate and motivate people on how to help themselves. I am also constantly learning from the people I work with and the situations I am in.

What are your hobbies?

Hiking, being in nature, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

What do you do for self-care?

Meditation, exercise, fuel myself with nourishing foods, regular nature time, dance, Epsom salt baths (especially in the winter!), and make time for fun.

Do you have any blog/podcast/other media people can
follow?

I post regularly on my social media, with the intention of spreading peace and positivity.

Also, you can listen to some prerecorded meditations on my youtube channel:

What is your favorite quote?

I have so many favorites but one of them is by Ernest Hemingway: “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility lies in being
superior to your former self.” It reminds me not to compare, and instead to focus on becoming better than I was yesterday. I can do this by increasing my self-awareness, with practices such as meditation and mindfulness.
